Mario Lemieux is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and current team owner. He played his entire 17-season National Hockey League (NHL) career with the Pittsburgh Penguins from 1984 to 2006. Nicknamed 'The Magnificent One' or 'Le Magnifique,' he is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. After retiring due to health issues, he became the majority owner of the Penguins in 1999, leading them to three Stanley Cup championships.
