Muhammad Ayub Khan was a prominent Pakistani military general who served as the second President of Pakistan from 1958 to 1969. He seized power in a 1958 coup d'état, becoming the country's first military dictator. Faced with widespread popular unrest and a decline in health, he resigned from office in 1969.
