Julius Charles Hare

Julius Charles Hare was an influential English Anglican theologian, writer, and Archdeacon of Lewes. He was a leading figure in the Broad Church movement, which sought to interpret the doctrines of the Church of England in a liberal and inclusive manner. Together with his brother Augustus William Hare, he co-authored 'Guesses at Truth, by Two Brothers,' a collection of aphorisms and reflections that became widely popular. His extensive writings and translations, including works by German theologians, significantly impacted Victorian religious thought and debate.
