Harvey Weinstein is a convicted sex offender and a disgraced American former film producer. Along with his brother Bob, he co-founded the entertainment company Miramax, which produced many critically acclaimed and commercially successful independent films. His career imploded in 2017 after numerous women publicly accused him of rape, sexual assault, and sexual abuse, offenses spanning several decades. These accusations were a primary catalyst for the #MeToo movement and resulted in his conviction on multiple felony sex crime charges.
