Warren G. Harding

President

Warren Gamaliel Harding was the 29th president of the United States, serving from 1921 until his death in 1923. A member of the Republican Party, he was a successful newspaper publisher before serving as a senator from Ohio. His presidency, part of the post-World War I era, was marked by a call for a 'return to normalcy' and saw the formal end of the war with Germany and Austria. Despite some achievements in fiscal policy and disarmament, his administration is often remembered for scandals such as the Teapot Dome, which came to light after his sudden death.
