Thomas Howard Kean is a prominent American businessman, academic, and politician who served as the 48th Governor of New Jersey from 1982 to 1990. After his governorship, Kean served as the President of Drew University for nearly 15 years, from 1990 until his retirement in 2005. He later gained significant national prominence for his role as the chairman of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, widely known as the 9/11 Commission.
