Lorenzo Snow was an American religious leader who served as the fifth president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1898 until his death. Born in Mantua, Ohio, he joined the Latter Day Saint movement in 1836 and became a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in 1849. Snow is particularly remembered for reemphasizing the law of tithing within the Church, which helped resolve its significant financial debts.
