Klaus Kinkel was a distinguished German statesman, lawyer, and civil servant who played a significant role in German politics during the late 20th century. He served as the Minister of Justice from 1991 to 1992 and then as the Foreign Minister and Vice-Chancellor of Germany from 1992 to 1998 under Chancellor Helmut Kohl.
