Karl Radek was a prominent Bolshevik leader and international communist activist of Polish-Jewish origin. Active in the socialist movements of Poland, Germany, and Russia, he became a key figure in the Communist International (Comintern). Known for his sharp wit and journalistic talent, Radek was an influential voice in early Soviet politics and foreign policy. He ultimately fell out of favor with Joseph Stalin, was convicted of treason during the Great Purge, and perished in a labor camp.
