Freddie Mercury was a British singer, songwriter, and the iconic lead vocalist of the rock band Queen. Regarded as one of the greatest singers in the history of rock music, he was known for his flamboyant stage persona and powerful four-octave vocal range. Mercury wrote numerous global hits for Queen, including "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Killer Queen," "Somebody to Love," "Don't Stop Me Now," and "We Are the Champions."
