David Minge is an American politician and retired judge who represented Minnesota's 2nd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. A member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, he served four terms from 1993 to 2001, where he was known as a leader of the Blue Dog Coalition of fiscally conservative Democrats. After leaving Congress, Minge was appointed as a judge of the Minnesota Court of Appeals, where he served from 2002 until his retirement in 2012. Throughout his public service career, he focused on fiscal responsibility, agricultural policy, and rural issues.
