Timothy Michael Dolan is an American Cardinal of the Catholic Church who serves as the tenth and current Archbishop of New York. He was named Archbishop by Pope Benedict XVI in 2009 and was created a cardinal in 2012. Known for his media presence and conservative theological views, he was also elected president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Throughout his career, Dolan has been a prominent voice on issues of religious freedom, pro-life advocacy, and Catholic education.
