Sarah Fielding was an English author and translator, recognized as one of the pioneers of the children's novel. She was the younger sister of the celebrated novelist Henry Fielding, with whom she often collaborated. Her most famous work, 'The Governess, or The Little Female Academy' (1749), is considered the first full-length novel written specifically for children in English. Through her writing, she explored themes of education, morality, and the social roles of women in the 18th century.
