Said Musa

Politician

Said Musa, widely known by his nom de guerre Abu Musa, was a prominent Palestinian militant and political figure who became a notable opponent of Yasser Arafat. Originally a high-ranking commander in the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and a member of Fatah's Central Committee, he played a significant role in conflicts in Jordan and Lebanon. In 1983, he led a Syrian-backed rebellion against Arafat's leadership, leading to the formation of the splinter group Fatah al-Intifada. He remained the leader of this Damascus-based faction until his death, representing a hardline stance within the Palestinian political landscape.
