Reggie Lewis was an American professional basketball player who spent his entire NBA career with the Boston Celtics. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he excelled at Dunbar High School and later became the all-time leading scorer at Northeastern University. Drafted in 1987, Lewis developed into a star, becoming the Celtics' captain and an NBA All-Star in 1992. His promising career was tragically cut short when he suffered a sudden cardiac death on a basketball court during an off-season practice at the age of 27.
