Winston Hubert McIntosh, known professionally as Peter Tosh, was a seminal Jamaican reggae musician. As one of the core members of the band The Wailers, alongside Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer, he helped pioneer and popularize reggae music worldwide. After leaving The Wailers in 1974, he established a successful solo career with militant albums like 'Legalize It' and 'Equal Rights'. Tosh was a prominent Rastafarian and a vocal advocate for cannabis legalization and human rights until his tragic murder in 1987.
