Néstor Carlos Kirchner was an influential Argentine lawyer and politician who served as the 51st President of Argentina from 2003 to 2007. Before his presidency, he was the governor of Santa Cruz Province from 1991 to 2003. His administration focused on economic recovery, human rights, and challenging the neoliberal policies of the 1990s. After leaving office, he remained a prominent political figure and served as Secretary General of UNASUR until his death in 2010.
