Matthew 'Matt' Welsh is a retired Australian swimmer renowned for his dominance in backstroke and butterfly events. He represented Australia at three consecutive Summer Olympics, from 2000 to 2008, earning a total of three Olympic medals. Throughout his illustrious career, Welsh also secured multiple World Championship titles and held world records.
