“I don't think of myself as a jazz pianist. I think of myself as a musician.”

“The more you know, the more you have to forget.”

“There's no such thing as a wrong note.”

“If you have a preconceived idea of what you're going to play, you're not improvising.”

“The process is the goal.”

“It's not about playing the right notes, it's about playing the notes right.”

“I believe in the power of the audience.”

“Improvisation is the art of being completely in the moment.”

“My life has been a search for the silence of sound.”

“For me, the melody is the king.”

“The only thing that can stop you from being a musician is you.”

“I have to be in a certain state of mind to play, and that state of mind is not one of entertainment.”

“Music is the language of the soul, and my instrument is the tool I use to speak it.”

“I'm not here to entertain. I'm here to share an experience.”

“The solo concert is a sacred space for me. It's a place where I can be completely honest and vulnerable.”

“What I’m doing is not about me. It’s about the music.”
