Joey Santiago is a Filipino-American guitarist and composer best known as the lead guitarist for the influential alternative rock band Pixies. His unique, often dissonant and angular guitar style was a defining element of the band's sound, influencing countless alternative and indie rock musicians. After the Pixies' initial split, he worked on various projects, including composing for film and television and forming The Martinis. Santiago reunited with the Pixies in 2004, and he continues to tour and record with the band to this day.
