Gordon Waller was a Scottish singer-songwriter and guitarist, best known as one half of the British Invasion duo Peter and Gordon. Teaming up with Peter Asher, the duo achieved international fame in the mid-1960s with their chart-topping hit "A World Without Love," written by Paul McCartney. They followed this success with several other hits, including "I Go to Pieces," "True Love Ways," and "Lady Godiva." After the duo disbanded in 1968, Waller pursued a solo career and later engaged in acting and business ventures before his death in 2009.
