George Lincoln Rockwell was an American political activist and the controversial founder of the American Nazi Party. A decorated U.S. Navy commander in World War II and the Korean War, he later became a leading figure in the post-war neo-Nazi movement. Rockwell was a fervent white supremacist and Holocaust denier who gained notoriety through public demonstrations and inflammatory rhetoric. His political career and life were abruptly ended when he was assassinated in 1967 by a former member of his own party.
