William Frederick "Fred" Durst is an American musician, singer, and film director. He is best known as the frontman and lyricist for the nu-metal band Limp Bizkit, formed in 1994. Under his leadership, the band achieved massive mainstream success in the late 1990s and early 2000s with albums like "Significant Other" and "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water." Beyond music, Durst has also directed several films, including "The Education of Charlie Banks" and "The Fanatic."
