Dean Ween, born Michael Melchiondo Jr., is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He is best known as the co-founder and lead guitarist for the alternative rock band Ween, alongside his childhood friend Aaron Freeman (Gene Ween). Formed in 1984, Ween developed a dedicated cult following due to their eclectic musical style, which spans rock, punk, country, and psychedelic genres. Beyond his work with Ween, Melchiondo has pursued other projects, including Moistboyz and The Dean Ween Group, and is also an avid fisherman.
