Philosopher

Confucius was a Chinese philosopher, teacher, and political figure whose teachings focused on personal and governmental morality, correctness of social relationships, justice, and sincerity. His philosophy, known as Confucianism, emphasized strong family loyalty, ancestor veneration, and respect for elders. The principles of his philosophy were preserved in the Analects, a collection of his sayings and ideas. His teachings have profoundly influenced Chinese thought and life, as well as other East Asian cultures for over two millennia.
