Amr Moussa is a prominent Egyptian statesman and diplomat who has played a significant role in Middle Eastern politics for decades. He served as the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1991 to 2001, where he became known for his assertive and independent stances. Following his tenure as foreign minister, he was elected as the Secretary-General of the Arab League, a position he held from 2001 to 2011. After leaving the Arab League, Moussa ran for the presidency of Egypt in 2012 and later played a key role in drafting the country's new constitution.
